Role Purpose

  • Develop team of outport managers and provide direct leadership, coaching, and performance management. Oversee recruitment, training, performance evaluations, succession planning, and foster a culture of safety, excellence accountability, and continuous improvement. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory authorities.
  • Responsible for ensuring Outports achieve annual targets and set KPIs. Monitor operational metrics, analyze trends, and use data-driven insights to create and drive process improvements to resolve issues proactively.
  • Develop and lead AOS team to support outports during daily and irregular operations.
  • Respond to and manage irregular operations, disruptions, and emergencies in coordination with local and regional teams.
  • Managing expenditure in the event of disruptions/irregular operations, ensuring adherence to company policy and retrieval of overspend from suppliers where necessary.
  • Create and deliver innovative working practices to enhance our SOPs, utilise industry leading technology including AI solutions to drive efficiency.
  • Safety and Security Management: Support the Safety and Operational Risk Management (SRM) team in investigating safety and security incidents or violations at outports, ensuring that causal factors are identified. Ensure effective mitigation actions are implemented to address findings arising from audits or investigations.
  • Champion forward thinking initiatives to enhance passenger experience, including utilising technology to provide efficiency improvements. Elevate responsiveness to passenger feedback, address passenger pain points and work with internal and external stakeholders to create an industry leading Airport experience.
  • Create and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising safety or service. Drive the adoption of innovative technologies to improve operational efficiency, and enhance our passenger experience.
  • Oversee the integration of new systems or teams, managing change and minimizing operational disruption.
  • Oversee new route start ups including liaison and negotiation with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during periods of operational disruption or irregular operations.
  • Crisis Management: Involvement as per company Crisis Plan.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of aviation or similar industry experience including 3 years at managerial level;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin is a plus);
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office;
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, people and communication skills.
  • Champions the adoption of new ideas, technologies, and processes to ensure we are an industry leader.
  • On-call availability for emergencies and irregular operations, including weekends and holidays as required.
  • Regular overseas travel required for outstation meetings / new route start ups.
