Role Purpose

• Develop ground handling services sourcing strategy that supports the corporate objectives;
• Manage and direct planning and sourcing activities for passenger, ramp and cargo handling services;
• Lead commercial discussion and contract negotiation with suppliers, ensuring the best value is achieved for the company;
• Lead suppliers assessment and evaluation, ensuring suppliers appointed are capable to deliver the services required;
• Craft annual cost budget and identify cost savings opportunities across the network and drive execution to realize savings;
• Identify hazard and risk, prepare risk assessment and, if being assigned as Risk Owner, has the authority and responsibility to make decisions regarding risk tolerability with respect to ground handling operations relevant to safety and/or security;
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers;
• Overseas travel is required.

Qualifications

• Degree holder or a qualification that demonstrates suitable experience in related discipline;
• Minimum 8 years work experience in relevant areas and 5 years in aviation industry, including 3 years in managerial role;
• Solid knowledge and thorough understanding of IATA Standard Ground Handling Agreement;
• Good understanding of airport and/or ground operations;
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese;
• Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications;
• Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills;
• Sensitive to numbers and strong analytical skills.
