Main Purpose of The Job

The Officer, Crew Control is responsible for managing and coordinating crew schedules to ensure optimal operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements. The role involves monitoring crew availability, re-assignments, and liaising with various departments to maintain a seamless flow of operations with efforts to protect aircraft OTP. And report abnormal crewing issues to the Supervisor or Assistant Manager, Crew Control.

Main Areas of Responsibility

  • Develop and manage crew schedules in accordance with company policies and CAD 371.
  • Monitor crew availability and adherence to rest regulations to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with flight operations, maintenance, and other departments to ensure crew assignments align with operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of crew assignments, qualifications, and training status.
  • Communicate effectively with crew members regarding scheduling changes, assignments, and operational updates.
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and crew-related issues promptly.
  • Analyze crew performance metrics and provide reports to management for decision making.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare crew document data to briefing office and authorities being part of the flight document preparation when required.
  • Participate in projects / specific working group, as assigned by superiors.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by superiors.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Completion of Secondary education, or above.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in airline operations.
  • Experience in roster assignment / re-assignment is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Putonghua is preferred but not essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willing to work shift duties with early start, late finish and overnight.
