Role Purpose

The position works under the People Culture and Engagement team to drive internal communications, people engagement  and employer branding initiatives that contribute to promoting HK Express’ unique culture and values propositions to both external candidates and internal employees through innovative digital and social platforms, target events and championing projects such as engagement and recognition programmes.

  • Internal communications - Create engaging content (written and video) to promote company values and drive employee engagement across various channels, including email blasts and the intranet.
  • Staff events - Oversee the planning, organisation, and timely execution of key staff events and initiatives such as town halls, festive celebrations, and the company anniversary to enhance employee engagement.
  • Employer branding - Manage corporate website updates, social media platforms (especially LinkedIn), and external award submissions to enhance the employer brand.
  • Employee engagement surveys - Lead engagement survey projects, analyse the results, and use a data-driven approach to identify key focus areas for leadership decision-making and action prioritisation.
  • Recognition Programmes - Manage employee recognition initiatives, including the UO Kudos programme and Long-Service Awards to foster a culture of appreciation and recognition.
  • Corporate souvenir production - Supervise the design and production of corporate souvenirs for onboarding and staff engagement initiatives.
  • Ad-hoc projects - Support additional projects and tasks as assigned


The Ideal Candidate

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in external communications, internal communications or employer branding roles, preferably in a sizable organisation.
  • Strong communication skills with experience in managing content creation (copywriting, video production) and event planning is highly desirable.
  • Experienced in managing platforms like LinkedIn for employer branding, with skills in basic video editing and proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and internal communication tools (e.g., intranet systems, email marketing platforms). 
  • Experience in handling employee engagement surveys and using data-driven insights to influence decision-making.
  • Project management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Willingness to take on new projects and tasks as needed in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
  • Less experience will be considered as Specialist.
