Duties and Responsibilities:

  • • Conduct routine validation of Flight Data detected events and analysis of Flight Data exceedances for the purposes of identifying trends and potential risks to operations.
    • Conduct analysis in support of ASRs review and prepare summaries. Facilitate Operational Learning Reviews, as and when required, to capture and disseminate safety learnings.
    • Collaborate with colleagues in the FDAP and SMS teams in producing regular reports on safety performance and issues identified through the FDAP.
    • Assist in the development of algorithms for studies of aircraft performance, FDAP triggers, operational efficiency, and aircraft maintenance troubleshooting.
    • Ensure Flight Data is used and kept as permitted by the company's Safety Management System Manual (SMSM) and Flight Data Analysis Program Manual (FDAPM).
    • Assist in the preparation of FDAP data for the Flight Operations Safety Action Group (FOPSAG) meeting.
    • Provide subject matter expert advice to HS and other SRM colleagues on matters related to flight safety.
    • Conduct safety promotion activities, including delivering SMS-related training and drafting of safety newsletter articles.
    • Undertake safety projects and studies as and when requested by HS.

Qualification and Experience Requirements:

  • • Must process valid flight crew license and currently employed by the company as a line Captain.
    • In-depth knowledge of company SOPs, aircraft handling characteristics, airfields and routes.
    • Well-known and respected in the company’s pilot community.
    • Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
    • Familiarity with CAD 739 and Flight Data related requirements within the AN(HK)O and IOSA program.
    • Familiarity with SMS concept and principles.
    • Proficient with MS Office suite.
    • Passionate in promoting a healthy and positive safety culture.
    • A team-player.
    • Strong analytical capabilities.
    • Prior experience in FDAP and SMS is an added advantage.
    • Good interpersonal, writing, presentation and communication skills.
