Role Purpose

  • Deputise as Duty In Charge (DIC), Outstation Maintenance when the DIC, Outstation Maintenance is absent and assume the full responsibilities as detailed in the DIC’s job description
  • Manage the routine maintenance, servicing and certification of company aircraft in accordance with the CAD and company standards and procedures as defined in the EPM
  • Follow and adhere to local OH&S regulations which take priority over the EPM
  • Establish a good co-operational relationship with MROs, service providers, and agents
  • Manage the routine maintenance, servicing and certification of third party operator’s aircraft in accordance with the applicable SGHA. Provide a high level of customer service
  • Liaise with the Certified Shipper to determine which Dangerous Goods Regulation applies to the aircraft parts and materials held at the station before shipment by air if they do not have an engineer possessed of this knowledge and license
  • Manage and monitor the performance of subcontractors
  • Facilitate and respond to internal, external and authority inspections or audits
  • Perform relief duties on other stations when requested to do so
  • Assist in other duties (e.g. provide training, QC,etc) as assigned

The Ideal Candidate

  • Possess valid aircraft maintenance basic license(s) - HKAR, FAA, EASA, JCAB etc.
  • Must hold a A320 aircraft type approval at B1 level 3 training
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in airlines M&E / MRO in Japan or Hong Kong
  • Holder of a valid residence card or eligible to work in Japan
  • Familiarize with using technical manuals
  • Exposure in A320 series aircraft maintenance certification experience is highly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good team player
  • Ability to work under pressure with good decision making
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English while Japanese is a merit
  • Require shift duties on a roster basis
