Role Purpose
- Seek advice from superiors to make decisions significantly affecting the operational security and/or decision regarding safety risk tolerability with respect to the safety and/or security of aircraft operations;
- Be responsible for ensuring operations under their responsible areas are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and HKEA policies, standards and requirements;
- Identify and analyze training needs of OCC personnel and plan for training and development;
- Maintain own competency as Operations Control and Flight Dispatch instructor;
- Prepare and review training materials in accordance with the syllabus as per OSM;
- Assist MOS&P to conduct the day-to-day On-Time Performance analysis, regular performance review;
- Assist MOS&P to review changes filed in Safety Risk Assessment Form by OCC team managers;
- Maintain own competence in the role of DMFOCC, stand-in duty where required;
- Coordinate and act as auditee in audits, analyze findings, initiate and implement corrective and preventive measures;
- Coordinate with BU regarding the progress of new station opening projects;
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned by superiors;
- Participate in specific working group as assigned by superiors.
Qualifications
- Secondary educated, preferably higher;
- Minimum 3 years of operations control or flight dispatch experience;
- Has satisfactorily completed a formal training course as a flight operations officer or flight dispatcher;
- Minimum English language proficiency requirements of either:
- ‘Level 3’ or above in English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or;
- ‘Grade E’ in Use of English or Literature in English in the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) or;
- A college diploma (except major in Chinese Language stream) or above awarded in Hong Kong or an English-speaking country
- Excellent commend of both written and spoken Chinese including Putonghua;
- Proficiency in electronic operations control system;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Offices Suite.
