Role Purpose
We are seeking a strategic and analytical Finance Business Partner to oversee the company's overall profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow and financial performance. The successful candidate will collaborate with various departments, providing insights and recommendations that drive business decisions and enhance financial outcomes.
- Financial Partnership: Collaborate with C-suites on corporate financial performance analysis, corporate financial risks and provide business insights. Develop a deep understanding of the airline’s business development.
- P&L Oversight: Monitor and analyze the company’s P&L statement and KPIs on a regular basis, identifying trends and variances. Provide timely reports and insights to senior management to support strategic planning and operational execution. Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to evaluate financial performance and inform strategic decisions.
- Budget and forecasting: Own the corporate financial model, prepare and manage the annual budget, monthly forecasts, and a 10-year financial plan (including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow).
- Strategic planning: Play a key role in the strategic planning process by providing financial input and insights on business initiatives. Assess financial implications of business strategies, investments, and operational changes. Coordinate the business review meeting and work with strategy team to develop the template.
- Process Enhancements: Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency within the team.
- Decision support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their financial needs and provide actionable data-driven insights. Perform benchmarking analysis and Prepare presentations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders effectively.
- Risk management: Identify financial risks and opportunities, propose solutions to mitigate risks and enhance profitability. Implement best practices for financial control and compliance.
- People management: Lead and mentor a small team of finance professionals, fostering a high-performing culture that encourages collaboration and innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Qualified accountant with CPA/ACCA/CA title or equivalent
- At least 8 years of working experience
- Strong understanding of financial principles, P&L management, and forecasting methods
- Proficient in financial modeling and analysis tools, with advanced Excel skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across the organization
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English
- Big Four experience preferred
