Role Purpose

The position works closely with the broader People and Communication teams to design and execute employer branding and people engagement initiatives that contribute to promote HK Express’ unique culture and values propositions to both external candidates and internal employees through innovative digital social platforms and target events and networking. 

The position also extends to championing projects such as employee engagement survey, employee recognition programs and CSR activities to promote positive impact to the society.

  • Formulate a long-term plan to define our employee experience in alignment with our employer branding and value proposition to ensure we present our brand in the best way with effective measurement in place
  • Drive the employer brand narrative across all candidate touchpoints in the People Journey, from digital and social channels to physical networking to attract potential talents to explore opportunities with HK Express
  • Be the go-to advisor internally across topics of culture, engagement, branding and people communication.
  • Partner closely with the broader People Team to formulate talent acquisition strategy and create employer branding channels to identify, build and engage a strong candidate pipeline
  • Owner of the Careers website and all digital channels, bringing our brand narrative to life by creating impactful content to showcase the unique values and culture of HK Express to potential candidates
  • Owner of the staff intranet for all internal communications related to people experience and engagement to foster a vibrant virtual community for all staff groups to interact and communicate without borders
  • Design, develop and implement innovative people engagement initiatives to promote positive people culture and arise workplace health and wellbeing
  • Plan and execute the annual employee engagement survey to create feedback channels to hear from our employees, communicate results to the leadership team, perform result analysis and foster shared ownership with relevant stakeholders to co-create solutions in response to the feedback collected
  • Plan, coordinate and execute employee engagement activities including Town Hall, webinars and staff communication events as well as employee recognition program and awards
  • Work closely with the PR & Communications team to develop Corporate Social Responsibility strategies to promote positive impact in the society to build company reputation and connect with target people network

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Media, Marketing, Human Resources Management, or related field
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience working in Employer Branding, Recruitment Marketing, Employee Engagement, Internal Communications, or similar functions
  • Deep understanding of the candidate experience and moments that matter and able to influence
  • Able to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining strong judgment and attention to detail
  • Digital communications and social media platform savvy
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese languages, with excellent creative writing ability
  • Familiar with CSR and sustainability topics, trends and programmes a strong plus

 

Please note that with effect from 1 June 2022 onwards, all HK Express employees and contractors who work in Cathay House and all other Cathay Group Company premises in Hong Kong must have received a third dose of COVID 19 vaccine. Being tested regularly for COVID-19 is not an option. Consideration will be given to those who are unable to get vaccinated for valid medical reasons.
