Role Purpose

The Project Engineer is a dedicated role supporting the Assistant Manager in planning, managing and monitoring M&E projects to ensure project delivery on scope, meeting expectations and timeline.

The position will explore process improvements and lean initiatives; lead individual projects involving multiple disciplines and also perform AMOS Competency Center (ACC) administration functions.

Responsibilities

  • Create project tracking tools, develop metrics to measure project status;
  • Perform oversight of project management activities, documenting specifications,  record progress meeting issues and tracking of project issues;
  • Support the Manager to draft project proposals, define project scope and specifications, conduct risk and cost benefit analysis for the project proposal submission;
  • Become the project leader, collaborate with the team members, organise and prioritise workload; react promptly to changes in requirements and resolve project issues; coordinate all project elements and ensure the project remains within budget and timeframe
  • Keep up with developing project management, data analytic trends; conduct system analysis, initiate process improvement and digitalisation mini projects
  • Organise lean workshop and brainstorming sessions to collect new ideas for M&E process improvements, identify digitalisation opportunities
  • Become the M&E focal point for AMOS Control Center, support M&E’s operation
  • AMOS Administration, like account and password management, access authrozations
  • Handle AMOS support services and queries; manage AMOS Configuration, refine work flow, support AMOS report design;
  • Provide AMOS training to new joiners and recurrent training; enable AMOS end user to create AMOS report, conduct data analysis
  • Lead and support AMOS improvement projects to adopt to new business needs
  • Support Company Digital Transformation initiatives, collaborate with Digital Transformation Team and IT on big data analytic;
  • Carry out projects assigned by the Managers.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Diploma, Degree or above qualification with major related with Information Technology or Engineering;
  • 4 or more years of related working experience in aircraft engineering and previous experience in project management experience is preferred;
  • Strong self initiative for continuous improvement, drive and willing to put extra miles for delivering high quality results
  • Able to work independently and work with multiple discipline projects;
  • Good understanding of best practices, applicable project management principles;
  • Effective decision-making, data management, organisation, analytical and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external parties; willing to take responsibilities;
  • Assertive, able to drive for changes and under pressure to meet project timeline;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools; Proficient in AMOS, SQL and previous experience in mobile application will be advantageous;
  • Strong command of written and spoken English & Chinese
