Supervisor, Digital Marketing (Japan - Tokyo)

Role and Responsibilities:

  • The role will be managing the digital media channels to drive the brand, awareness, campaigns and customer engagement of the airline;
  • Proficient understanding of popular Social Media Channels in Japan: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.;
  • Develop and manage digital marketing campaigns (including but not limited to always on SEM, O2O campaigns and Digital Display Ad) to achieve company’s KPIs in online / offline sales leads acquisition and brand building by working closely with external agencies and partners;
  • Manage SEO and PPC capabilities to ensure that sites are optimised for search engines;
  • Run SEM campaigns efficiently and economically to ensure that we get competitive click through rates for SEM keywords;
  • Responsible for KOL management (word of mouth marketing) in the region;
  • Create and maintain regular traffic reports for the business with clear analysis to guide product development and commercial decision making;
  • Devise strategies to drive online traffic to the company website that complement the overall communications strategy;
  • Manage and measure the social media strategy for the company;
  • Manage the usability, design, content and conversion of the company website;
  • Evaluate customer feedback, market conditions, and competitor data obtained from online sources;
  • Manage and develop the digital CRM strategy via emails and ecommerce;
  • Coordinate web content with current electronic direct mail pieces. Maintaining the constituent email database;
  • Integrate all graphic design needs for website, email signature, and social media sites;
  • Identify opportunities for web enhancements. Monitor site analytics through in order to ensure site capabilities are being used most responsibly;
  • Ensure data, learnings, and ROI analysis from marketing campaigns are reported back to the business;
  • Compile monthly reports specific to digital and social media activities;
  • Review new technologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing;
  • Liaise and coordinate with various external agencies, such as creative agency, media agency, and suppliers for all marketing campaigns and collaterals;
  • Assist and manage events / launches and represent the company at such events – all the while ensuring consistency with current brand guidelines;
  • Support Reward-U (Loyalty Program) development and PR/media relationships in Japan;
  • Support ad-hoc duties/projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Degree holder in Marketing or related discipline;
  • Preferably 3 years hands on digital marketing experience in travel / hospitality industry, digital marketing agencies or MNC regional marketing role;
  • Self-motivated, proactive, good team player and work efficiently to meet deadlines;
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with proven ability to run detailed and comprehensive analysis for optimization;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal, written in Japanese, English and interpersonal;
  • Substantial experience in running and develop digital marketing initiatives;
  • Understanding of SEO, PPC, SEM and other online techniques, and how to set up sites and campaigns to ensure they are optimised for search engines;
  • Understanding of excellent social media practice;
  • Have a strong understanding and handle of digital marketing and social media, and their functionalities;
  • Proficiency in PC operation / MS Office.

  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple and varied tasks, while meeting all deadlines;
